The Principle of Giving

Giving is more than a financial transaction—it’s a spiritual principle that reflects the heart of God. The Bible teaches that “God loves a cheerful giver” (2 Corinthians 9:7), not because He needs our resources, but because He desires our trust, obedience, and generosity. When we give—whether it’s our time, talents, or treasures—we participate in God’s work on earth and invest in eternal outcomes.

Giving cultivates gratitude and breaks the grip of selfishness. It shifts our focus from what we lack to what we can share. It’s not about the amount, but the attitude. Jesus praised the widow who gave two small coins because she gave out of her heart (Luke 21:1-4).

Let us give with purpose, generosity, and joy—knowing that everything we have is a gift from God.
